DualCamera Privacy Policy

OVERVIEW
DualCamera does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal data or user information. With the exclusion of Auto-Captions, all processing happens entirely on your device.

1. CAMERA
DualCamera uses the device’s front and back cameras simultaneously to record video and capture photos. All video recordings and photos are saved directly to your device’s own Photos library. No video or image data is transmitted to any server, third party, or external service.

2. MICROPHONE
DualCamera uses the device microphone to record audio as part of video recordings. Audio data is stored only in the video file saved to your Photos library on your device. No audio data is transmitted to any server or external service.

3. SPEECH RECOGNITION (AUTO-CAPTIONING)
DualCamera includes an optional Auto-Captions feature that transcribes speech to text and overlays captions on recorded video.

When Auto-Captions is enabled:

• Audio is sent to Apple’s Speech Recognition service (operated by Apple Inc.) for transcription. This is subject to Apple’s own Privacy Policy, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

• Transcribed text is displayed on screen and burned into the recorded video saved to your Photos library.

• No transcription data is sent to Rockpick Software or any other third party.

• Auto-Captions requries an active internet connection.

• Auto-Captions is disabled by default. You must explicitly enable it via the long-press menu on the Clip button.

• The app will request Speech Recognition permission from iOS the first time you enable this feature. You can revoke this permission at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Speech Recognition.

4. PHOTOS LIBRARY
DualCamera requests write-only access to your Photos library in order to save recordings and photos. The app does not read, browse, or access any existing photos or videos in your library.

5. DATA COLLECTION AND SHARING
Rockpick Software does not collect any data from users or DualCamera.
Specifically:
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No advertising or ad tracking
- No crash reporting sent to external services
- No user accounts or registration required
- No third-party SDKs embedded in the app

6. DATA STORAGE
All data created by DualCamera (recordings, photos, captions) is stored solely on your device in your Photos library. Rockpick Software has no access to this data.

7. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
DualCamera does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is not directed at children.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Rockpick Software may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at www.rockpick-software/DualCamera-Privacy-Policy/ with an updated ‘Last Update’ date.
